RULES AND REGULATIONS


  1. Students must bow to flags (Grand)masters and instructors when entering or leaving the Toe-chang.
  2. Students must respect and obey all (Grand)masters and instructors.
  3. Students must bow before and after approaching a (Grand)master.
  4. Students must use the word "sir" when speaking to (Grand)masters and instructors.
  5. Students must obtain permission from (Grand)master(s) or instructors for early dismissal from class.
  6. Students must not practice by themselves, they must take class while class is in session.
  7. Students must keep the Toe-chang clean.
  8. Absolutely no unecessary converstaions in the Toe-chang.
  9. Students must bow to flags when entering or leaving the training area.
  10. When a (grand)master enters the Toe-chang, the highest ranking belt must call the class to attention and have them bow.
Meaning of Tae Kwon Do
Tae Kwon Do is a Korean Martial Art which requires the use of hands and feet without weapons, the main goal of Tae Kwon Do is to achieve total mind and body control.

From year to year, slight changes occur in the rules. For instance, sometimes the word Toe-chang is used, and other times, Do-chang or Doe-chang, depending on the romanization system used.
Also Grandmaster, master, instructor, and black-belt get juggled around a bit as different numbers of people attain different ranks in each of the schools.
